In all developments, affordability and adequate parking provision are essential. The number of affordable homes should be strongly protected, with priority ideally given to those who have a connection to the village. In rural areas like ours, most households have at least two cars, and some have more or include a work van. Recent developments in Ancaster have shown that insufficient parking leads to ongoing problems, and this must be addressed in future planning.
