Sport England welcomes the inclusion of sport and recreation into the list of types of small business schemes which will be supported in rural areas and the need for large scale sport and leisure facilities to be sited where they can be easily accessed by public transport, foot and cycle.

Farm diversification, particularly for storage and distribution, can lead to the use of lanes for HGV’s above and beyond the previous agricultural use. Is there a policy to control this?
Some sport developments can lead to excessive noise affecting amenity in a wider area due to topography and weather conditions. Is there a policy to control this better?
