This would spoil the beauty of our home. There is also lots of wildlife that use the field including barn owls, red kites and deer that hunt in this field. The village is not big enough to support this build, it would destroy the quaintness of the village

I am against more housing for this village. We are already struggling with through traffic and this will impact more and put more strain on the resources available to current residents including school places and local nurseries etc

The infrastructure is not in place to accommodate more housing. The roads are busy and can be dangerous as it is especially at the crossroads of school lane and the doddington and on school runs.

I don’t want the houses built because I like living in the countryside and I don’t want to live in a town. I’m an 18 year old and when I am looking to buy a house I would avoid looking in claypole if it became too large.

I do not agree that claypole has been re-classified as a larger village
We do not have the infrastructure, services or facilities to support more large development. There is no GP Surgery an intermittent bus service and only a very small shop
There are already problems with the existing traffic levels and parking.
We just cannot cope with any more large development. Current development has put a huge strain on our community- we do not need or want any more

Claypole currently has about 650 dwellings.
The only employment opportunities within the village are the Pub, the shop, the cafe and the hairdressers. Therefore every body has to commute.
Shire Lane is a shambolic mess of potholes and loose stones.
Dry Doddington Lane and Dry Doddington itself is too narrow to support an increase in volume of over 10% more commuters and thousands of Commercial vehicles during the development.

Size of village
As we are currently a small village no changes have been made to the infrastructure, facilities have not improved
Roads
The traffic problems on Main street have long been a concern.
Community support
Villagers have previously made it very clear that a development of this size is not acceptable for this neighbourhood
Shops and community
We have one village shop , which is excellent but most people travel to newark for their main grocery shop.
Transport
Limited business service which does not cater for working people, therefore people must use their own cars to get to work.
Cycling is a major hazard with no dedicated cycle paths in and out of the village
Site size
This is a site far and away too large. 86 houses with an average of 2 cars per household would indeed cause major problems.
Health care
There us no Gp practice or pharmacy, nearest practice is Llong Bennington already stretched to capacity.
Fernwood
With increased housing on this site will increase pressure on our local school,.
Employment proximity
There are extremely limited opportunities for employment in Claypole

A large number of children travel in to school by car from Fernwood
