Almost all the policies in the Purple box are of concern to site SKPR-71. I have submitted detailed representations on all the key objections, by email, dated 11/3/24. Impossible to summarise in less than 100 words.

LV-H4 - Bourne Road - Policy removed. There is no known reason why this has been removed as it is land that has already had planning permission approved

SKPR-241 land off Church Lane Great Gonerby. You are not following policies in relation to your SKDC Green Infrastructure Policy. This area around Church Lane is document as The Great Gonerby Walk, the green fields are documented as Historic Landscape and Historic Settlement, there is a plaque at the entrance to these green fields stating that this area was used to impound stray animals over 200 years ago until a fine was paid by the owners to release them. To bulldoze all of this goes against all your policies and strategies.

I cannot support any ‘plan’ that advocates widespread destruction of the local countryside.

I wish to see a Policy introduced to Safeguard the Car Dyke. If there is a policy EN7 Protecting and Enhancing the Grantham Canal which is 33 mile long and built in the 18th Century Why isn't there a policy Protecting and Enhancing the Car Dyke? which is "an ancient man-made watercourse which can be traced for 57 miles from near Lincoln down through Lincolnshire and the Fens” (The Car Dyke Brian Simmons & Paul Cope-Faulkner). A long section of the Car Dyke can be traced through South Kesteven so, as with the Grantham Canal, a policy should be introduced to safeguard the Car Dyke ‘so that its long-term potential as an asset can be fully realised’.

HBF welcomes the Council’s attempts to clearly set out policies where significant changes are being made, new policies and chapter minor changes to policies, policies removed and policies to be reviewed once emerging evidence in finalised. This is helpful characterisation.

List of New Policies SKPR-268, it is assumed that â €” is a typing error rather than a missing word or perhaps an autocorrect and the same for the minor change to GR3-H1 and where it has appeared elsewhere in the Draft Plan.
Policies Removed (grey), does this need to be included in the list above to make it clearer?

The current draft plan excludes LV-H5 Swinstead Road/Bourne Road Road Policy LV-H5 is to be removed. On the basis Since the adoption of the 2020 Local Plan, LV-H5 Swinstead Road/Bourne Road has been granted planning permission for 265 dwellings therefore is being removed as an allocation. Within the guidance at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/housing-and-economic-land-availability-assessment there is provision for :
The comprehensive list of sites and broad locations derived from data sources and the call for sites. Plan-makers can assess potential sites and broad locations prior to a more detailed survey to:
• get an up to date view on development progress (where sites have planning permission)
Therefore the decision to exclude LV-H5 is contrary to national policy as the incomplete housing on those sites, over 75%, must be taken into account. That means that Corby Glen would have over 200 dwellings in the new plan if national policy was properly applied. The Plan is for the period 2021 to 2041 and therefore the development next to Ferndale House should also be taken into account.

DWH object to the complete policy removal of Policy M1. Although it is considered that SKDC do not need to commit to an early review of their plan they should keep a review policy in as in accordance with paragraph 33 of the NPPF they will need to review the plan after 5 years.
