A map showing the 2,670ha of identified open spaces would be useful. Is there an opportunity to include new open spaces? Such as the 150ha of woodland on the Prince William of Gloucester Barracks current proposed to be built on? It would make a really great asset for the town and wellbeing of the residents. As yet, I haven't seen any reference to people's wellbeing in the draft plan so far.

Paragraph 11.10 refers to a “Play Pitch Strategy being prepared to assess indoor play space provision across South Kesteven.”
Is this reference to the Playing Pitch Strategy currently being prepared by the Council? The Playing Pitch Strategy will provide a clear, strategic framework which ensures that the provision of outdoor sports facilities and ancillary facilities meet the local needs of existing and future residents across the District.

Reference to the completed Playing Pitch Strategy informing the pre-submission version of the local plan review is welcomed.

Site allocation SKPR-57 is an accessible, good quality open space which makes a significant quality of life contribution to hundreds of residents of South Kesteven. The health benefits to the residents and their pets is high. This was particularly apparent during the recent lockdown. Without this area the residents will have to drive to access green open space.
