Response to 11.17-11.20 Local Open Space Policy Context reference SKPR-57
11.20 states… “These open spaces have not been duplicated as part of this policy, as they have their own protection through the Neighbourhood Plan in which they are designated.” The residents of GHF have not had a Parish Council (Town Council) for decades and so the opportunity to protect local areas via a Neighbourhood Plan has been denied.
This inability to create a Neighbourhood Plan and protect Grantham’s open spaces leaves SKDC open to the question of fairness and equality compared to the lesser allocated areas Bourne, Stamford and Deepings.
