Whilst I support the proposal - more needs to be done to provide more public buses. whilst I understand that transport is the responsibility of the County Council, I do hope SKDC will play an active role is pressing the government to provide the resources needed to support sustainable transport in rural areas.

It is already emerging within Grantham that the current road infrastructure into the town centre cannot cope with much more traffic. The poplar farm development is leading to significant queues on the A52 to the ASDA junction.
The area around the A52 McDonalds junction is already so badly affected by traffic it has poor air quality and cannot cope with the provision of pedestrian crossing facilities at Gainsborough Corner. Whilst the Relief Road may assist with some traffic flows it will not prevent issues with traffic going into Grantham or those traffic log jams around areas such as the railway bridge on Springfield Road.
The lack of pedestrian access at this junction is leading to more traffic as parents cannot risk their children crossing London Rd to access primary and secondary schools.
