I challenge the reference to 'reasonable house prices'. This is not the case in Stamford.

Stamford is does not have the infrastructure to support significant population growth.

Doctors surgery is overstretched and is unable to provide a quality service.
Parking is insufficient in central stamford to suit higher numbers.
Roads are in a poor state of repair and could not support higher traffic.
Nursery places are very limited and cannot support a higher demand.
Areas of stamford do not have local shops/facilities available - this includes specifically the Empingham road area which the local plan proposes to re-allocate land that had been specified for employment use in stamford.

Ever since the current document was produced, certain conditions have greatly altered this part of the District, notably FLOODING since Christmas 2023.
NB - para 2.23 Table 1 - “Environment concerns. Flooding from rivers is a limited problem in South Kesteven, but surface run-off may be a problem in some areas”. WRONG! it has become a massive problem.
