The village map you have provided in reference to SKPR-247 is inaccurate and misleading. It fails to take into account the current 3x housing developments of approx.
Corby Glen is barely equipped to handle the current housing developments. The village does not have the facilities to house additional people. We are losing the very character that makes our village the close-knit community it is and the very fabric of our village is being ripped apart. We will not only be losing this precious habitat but also valuable agricultural land. The land is already extremely water logged. The risk of flooding in the village seems to increase year on year as we lose more green land to concrete development and putting the whole village at more risk of water damage. The suggestion of even further housing is in absolute violation of the Corby Glen village plan that was voted for by residents earlier this year.

Rapid Village Expansion - currently experiencing a 65% expansion of dwelling stock with no investment into the village to service additional residents.

Landscape Character & Openness –local community expressed need to retain the rural feel of the village and identified key views through neighbourhood plan consultations.

Concerns regarding the impact on transport & Road Safety and Education & Medical Service Provision.

There’s an unquantifiable sense that the quality and nature of village life, a key factor in many people deciding to move here in the first place, is being eroded by the addition of hundreds of new properties.
