5.7 Greenhouse gases, 40% of all greenhouse gases come from dwellings according to ONS data. How are you going to justify 14020 (20% contingency 16824) dwellings and meet the net zero targets? What measures are you going to insist on from developers to make the dwellings less pollutive and harness all ECO technologies to make the homes as energy efficient as possible? The pollution in Grantham will be far worse with all these extra people.

Build eco-homes which are able to be sustain their own power and contribute to the grid. It makes living in them affordable and contributes to the town. The climate emergency in SKDC doesn't seem to mean anything other than the words being written. We need to extend the ideas to operational carbon too and hold developers to account for building eco homes and using plant and tech with the lowest emissions, whilst opting for the lowest carbon masterplan. Not the one that provides the most profit. We have to do more!!

The reference to buildings here is extremely vague and further detail should be provided. How is this 40% broken down between buildings within different uses - e.g, industrial, commercial and residential. Without this level of detail policies aimed at addressing this are meaningless.

You’ve said that buildings are bad for the environment so why are you advocating many more??

These developments should provide energy efficient homes that are pleasant to live in. They should be built on a Garden Town layout where accessibiltiy by foot and cycle has priority- not have a link road running through the middle of it. They should use sustainable insulation.
