Regulation 18 Draft Local Plan
SKPR-280 (GR3-H3): Rectory Farm (Phase 3)
Representation ID: 417
Received: 09/04/2024
Respondent: Barrowby Parish Council
This development falls wholly within the Parish of Barrowby. It is not inside the Grantham boundary, and so all statistics relating to the dwellings within this development are incorrect throughout the entire document. As the document is a policy document, the Parish Council would like to see these amendments made and the statistics republished correctly Map 3.6 12.21 SKPR280 references Section 12, especially 12.58

SKPR-117 – Land to the East of Sheepwash Lane
Representation ID: 418
Received: 09/04/2024
Respondent: Barrowby Parish Council
This development is wholly inside the Parish of Barrowby. It is not, and has never been, inside Grantham. As this is a glaring error in the document which affects a great many sub sections and the statistics that have been used to outline & justify certain policies, the Parish Council would ask that this error and therefore the accompanying text, statistics etc are all corrected before full publication. Map 3.6 Section 12 statistics 12.21 12.58 All references to this development being a part of Grantham should be removed and revised.

Respondent: Barrowby Parish Council
The Map fig.3.6 is drawn incorrectly in respect of the eastern boundary with Barrowby. Whilst figuratively we also note that the housing developments identified as SKPR280 & SKPR 117 are deemed to be within Grantham, they are not. Please revise both the references, diagrams and all statistics relating to these errors. There cannot be statistics and boundary errors used for a long reaching plan as these so clearly are.

Representation ID: 420
Received: 09/04/2024
Respondent: Barrowby Parish Council
This number is incorrect with over 500 dwellings being allocated to Grantham when they are in fact located in the Parish of Barrowby. Please correct this glaring error and all maps & statistics to which it refers References SKPR 117 SKPR 280. Please do not proceed to full publication with these misleading errors in place as the future consequences on the Parish allocation of both new development, funding etc could be very significant.

12.61 is wholly incorrect, in fact Barrowby Parish will also deliver an additional 500+ homes when the developments SKPR 117 & SKPR 280 are correctly allocated to Barrowby not Grantham as they are allocated in this document. Parish Council expects this glaring error to be corrected on all maps, references and statistics before the final document is published.

We are glad to see this being rewritten. It is refreshing to see SKDC taking responsibility to support larger villages on whom it so actively depends. It is hoped that the new policy will be the basis for a far more robust and joined up policy of providing funding for those communities to provide services and infrastructure that are so blatantly being ignored today, evidenced by funding from completed sites within Barrowby having failed to deliver a single penny into the Parish itself, the funds being allocated to Grantham projects. This practice is a disgrace, and it needs to stop.
