Representation Summary:

We welcome and support Stamford Residential Allocation SKPR-281 (STM1-H1): Stamford North for an indicative 1,350 units. We also support the development principles set out in the allocation, including the additional principles (compared to the adopted Local Plan) relating to Flood Risk Assessment, Biodiversity Opportunity Areas and Green Infrastructure Areas.

The Proposed Allocation is the same site extent as included in the adopted Local Plan, but application S23/0055 also includes additional land around and to the south of the Borderville Centre. The report to the 5th December 2025 Planning Committee (paragraphs 7.6.4, 7.6.5 and 10.4 plus the Additional Items Report) concludes that the inclusion of this additional land is acceptable, and the Committee resolution to grant permission was made on this basis and the outline permission is due to be granted on this basis. The Proposed Allocation should therefore reflect the extent of the site subject of planning application S23/0055 and shown on the Site Location Plan submitted as part of this representation.
