Representation Summary:

These representations are prepared on behalf of National Grid Electricity Distribution (South West) Plc (NGED) (formerly Western Power Distribution (South West) Plc, in response to the South Kesteven Local Plan Review Regulation 18 Proposed Housing and Mixed Use Site Allocations consultation which is subject to public consultation.

These representations should be read in conjunction with those submitted by NGED on 19th April 2024 to the Regulation 18 consultation on the draft Local Plan.
NGED’s comments on the Additional Sites are limited to the proposed new allocation SKPR-7 Land South West of Raymond Mays Way, Bourne, for 270 dwellings. The site is traversed by parallel 132kV overhead electricity lines and associated pylons through the centre of the site. Reference to the presence of the lines and the need for the development layout to accommodate the retention of the lines in situ should be included within Policy SKPR-7. Please amend the policy accordingly. Should you have any queries regarding the above, NGED would be happy to provide further advice and guidance
