Proposed Housing and Mixed-Use Site Allocations

Grantham

Representation ID: 3874

Received: 28/08/2025

Respondent: Mulberry Strategic Land

Representation Summary:

Mulberry Land are specifically promoting land at Oakdale Farm, Manston Lane, Great Gonerby at Grantham (SKPR-182). The site is in a highly sustainable location to deliver a significant amount of strategic commercial floorspace

We are supportive of the Council’s proactive approach to accommodate the higher housing requirement.

A range of employment opportunities such as land at Oakdale Farm will attract inward investment, promoting additional growth and diversification of the economy, along with employment and training opportunities for local people. We are therefore supportive of the residential and mixed-use allocations

We support the Council’s objectives regarding growth, in particular at the main town of Grantham, which will see a total supply (based on delivery up to 2043) of 9,027 dwellings, including an additional 1,576 dwellings as proposed housing land allocations through this local plan review, on top of the existing 4,956 dwellings as existing allocations in the adopted plan.

The unique opportunities afforded to the District with Grantham’s potential to attract large scale inward investment and strategic distribution space has largely been limited in recent years owing to lack of allocations of land through the last economic cycle and in particular delays to infrastructure provision and at Grantham Southern Gateway.
