Support the inclusion of Land east of The Drift and land south of Low Road, Barrowby as an allocation for 455 houses in the Regulation 18 Proposed Housing and Mixed-Use Site Allocations.
The site remains a suitable, available and achievable location for growth in the district.
Policy should be amended to clearly identify that is it the Council’s intention that the site would deliver at least 455 dwellings.
Council must provide adequate justification for criteria f. for it as part of the evidence base.
The policies map identifies the majority of the site is ‘an opportunity for creation of BNG’. It is however considered that this designation should apply to the whole proposed site allocation, and the policies map should be amended accordingly.
