Representation Summary:

Housing Requirement, Spatial Strategy and SA process

The housing requirement could exceed the minimum local housing need in South Kesteven due to alignment of homes and jobs and delivery of affordable housing.

Updated considerations to the overarching strategy should be considered through the current consultation or its supporting evidence base, including through the Sustainability Appraisal addendum (SA).

There may be merit in reviewing the relative balance of housing across the Sub-Regional Centre and the Market Towns, to ensure the strategy reflects both the sustainability and deliverability credentials of each settlement.
