These further Representation are made in continuing SUPPORT of the relevant Policies in Draft Plan, particularly Policy H1 – Housing Allocations (SKPR -242 – Land east of Honington Road, Barkston [2.7 hectares/54 units]) – Pages 54 and 55 of the draft Plan.
The Representors, Messrs. A & M Strawson, are the freehold owners of the whole of the proposed allocation cited above. There are no restrictive covenants or other constraints on the development of the land. The Owners/Representors are now at an advanced stage in the sale of the Site to a recognised housebuilder which proposes to bring the Site forward for development as soon as Planning Permission can be secured..
The Site is, therefore, available and ‘deliverable’ (within 5 years) in accordance with the definitions on Page 72 (Glossary) of the NPPF December 2024 and at Paragraph 007 (Reference ID: 68-007-20190722) of the current iteration of PPG.
Detailed representations were previously made in support of the Regulation 18 Plan proposed allocation under cover of an email dated 05/04/2024, which, amongst other things, included an illustrative development masterplan commissioned by the Representors that demonstrated how the Site could be developed for housing in accordance with sound spatial planning principles, with other relevant policies in the emerging Local Plan Review, and the parameters set out in the Site-specific Policy itself.
