One of the villages prime attractions is the pretty walk along Obthorpe Lane towards Dole Wood.

The whole character of the area would be altered if additional housing was built on this land.

Additionally, new houses in the village would mean even more traffic onto the already busy A15 road.

-No reference/ acknowledgment of Thurlby with Northorpe Village Character Assessment in the summary of comments published as a result of the Consultation last year
-Challenges to the scoring of the Larger Village Hierarchy assessments
-Current consultation states that previous submissions have been assessed and will not be revisited.

-Thurlby Parish Council meeting -Allison Homes presented to Thurlby Parish Council in support of their plans for SKPR-56. Indicative numbers, 91. Allison Homes were confident that completion of the site would be by the end of 2027. Building would start in 2026 should the Planning Application be approved.

The background information prepared by Allison Homes in the form of the SA and Development Plan has only just come available and leaves little time to prepare a considered response. We would expect a reasonable extension to the consultation period to make further assessment of this information for submissions to SKPR-56.

The site is suitable, available, and deliverable for providing the required growth within the District within the early stages of the plan period upon adoption of the emerging Local Plan. Considers that the site is highly suitable for consideration as a proposed housing allocation.
