The Representors SUPPORT the Draft Local Plan Review (LPR) and, specifically, the proposed Policy H1/SKPR- 242 Allocation at Honington Road, Barkston. This is a demonstrably appropriate allocation complying with sound spatial planning principles, with the guidance in the NPPF and with all the other relevant policies in the emerging LP.

The site is to the north of the Conservation Area and Grade I Church of St Nicholas, at the entrance to the village. There are concerns regarding the setting of the Church of St Nicholas, views into towards the spire and from the churchyard. An assessment should test views looking south towards the church and looking N from outside south porch (churchyard elevated). The intervening structures on the Northern side of the church are noted but concerns remain subject to assessment.
Criteria c) of policy SKPR-242 is noted.
