As previously stated the issue with any development in the village is the traffic issue that already exists on the A15 at peak times and no plans in place to ease the congestion but further developments wanted. I have no problem with building houses just put the infrastructure in place also.

I object to this proposal because:
Road safety - it is already very difficult to turn from High Street onto the Bourne-Deeping Road between 7.30 and 9, more traffic would make this even more dangerous.
Drainage in the village is already insufficient, water comes up through the drains and some houses regularly flood.
Sewage in the village is insufficient, during high rainfall raw sewage regularly cones up, thus presents a health hazard.
The village infrastructure is already overwhelmed - the school cannot accommodate all the village children already.

The village school cannot take or extend for any more children it is at full capacity with classes already over numbers. Building these houses will mean children within area will not get a school place.
- There is no childcare in the village putting more pressure on already over subscribed settings.
- The traffic increase for the village will be detrimental and dangerous. The roads are narrow enough.
- We need the green spaces and farmland to remain a village feel.
- there is a severe lack of amenities in the village as is, Without these new houses.

Will create too much extra traffic on the A15 and not enough support services eg schools, drs, dentists. The land was deemed not suitable in 2009 why is it now suitable? It grows the village at an alarming rate. Village people do not want this. The drains and roads can’t cope already. This will only make it worse.

Access is constrained as vehicular entry from the A15 is prohibited, pushing traffic onto narrow internal roads. In combination with SKPR-56, this will worsen congestion and school-time conflicts. The site lies in a Green Infrastructure Area and lacks ecological safeguards. The primary school is already at capacity, and no mitigation strategy is provided. Sewerage and drainage are constrained, with existing flooding issues. Without clear infrastructure commitments, allocation risks unsustainable growth, highway safety problems, and further drainage failures, conflicting with NPPF sustainable development principles.

I object based on:
Visual and physical impact on the natural landscape & habitats.
Noise impact during and after proposed construction and when the site is occupied.
Traffic impact on single track road (potentially 150+ vehicles), increased accident risk to pedestrians and junction intersection traffic management, flow and accident risk.
Current infrastructure (foul and surface water drainage already at its capacity).
Risk of flooding.
No housing shortage identified for Thurlby residents.
No schooling provision to support the site.
Impact on rural local development, increasing to become an urban concrete jungle.
Local services already at bursting point.
Short-term employment not required.

The road is already dangerous as two cars cannot safely pass and cannot take increased volume. Also very difficult to turn from the High Street on to A15 at peak timings due to volume of traffic on A15. Further traffic will only make all of this far worse. Raw sewage already surfaces during heavy rainfall meaning system already over whelmed which is already a health risk. The roads and area immediate areas regularly flood, no capacity for more children at village school. Proximity to Dole Wood which is SSSI and negative impact on wildlife.

Access to the villages from the A15 is currently via the crossroads with High Street or Northorpe or up Obthorpe lane via Wilsthorpe Lane. At peak times, when trying to join the A15 from the village, these junctions often result in considerable waiting times, while seeking to turn right especially. Adding a further 86 & 50 dwellings to the village will further exacerbate this problem, so as part of any development plan I would expect/request consideration be given to improving the flow of traffic at each of these junctions.

Current sewerage issues at the moment in the village
Thurlby Primary School is not big enough now
Local dentists & doctors cannot copy now without adding to the problem
When collisions occur on the A15, the Police shut it and divert traffic through the village, HGV's and all. Our roads are not suitable for this purpose!
As a parishoner, I do not want it to grow on a massive scale as suggested by the plans
Thurlby often floods especially the crossroads!

Thurlby does not have the necessary: Drainage/Sewerage system; Road Infrastructure and Schooling for any further development.
Access to the site is via Obthorpe Lane- for the most part a single track road in very poor repair.
If the High Street is used for access immense traffic flow issues will result between the access point and the A15 junction.
Joining the A15 from the village is already very difficult.
Flooding occurs regularly and the Sewerage System is archaic.
The local primary school is already at capacity.

As a resident in Thurlby, I have serious concerns about the drainage systems currently in place. Water cannot be managed successfully in heavy rain and more housing would only increase demand. Whilst I appreciate the need for more affordable housing, I would seek reassurances that the current systems were going to be updated and improved before any new building projects were approved.

I strongly object It will mean double the amount of cars. It is not safe for those that walk down Obthorpe lane to the woods and dog walkers. Sewage and drains can’t take it already. The roads are not wide enough. It was rejected in 2016 so why considering now? More traffic on the A15 which is already crammed and blocked at commuting times. We don’t want this extra traffic in the village the GP dentist and roads can’t cope with it already

Object to further housing estate - people living in village want it to remain a village. Not a town Thurlby already large village and noisey with lot passing traffic including buses and coaches. I feel that the proposed development SKPR-277 on Obthorpe Lane will cause excessive overflow problems on the pumping station on Church Street. It can barely cope with the volume now as it deals with all of Thurlby from Swallow Hill down to Church Street, so any more capacity will cause problems unless the pumping station is upgraded.

Much of the village traffic already uses Obthorpe Lane to join the A15 South as queues at the end of High Street during peak periods can mean a 10 minute wait or longer. The number of extra cars from these proposed developments will have a significant negative impact.
Without a roundabout on the A15 at either Northorpe or Thurlby commuting will be significantly more difficult if these houses are built.

The village does not have the infrastructure to support additional house building. There is constant flooding on Northorpe Lane during heavy rain due to poor drainage. Are the house builders going to create a new safer road system, build a Dr's surgery, ? NO they will not. The A15 is already overloaded with traffic. Access onto the A15 southbound when driving is difficult and at certain times downright dangerous. We live in a village by choice not out of necessity. Let Allison Homes desicrate green belt land elsewhere.
