I object to this development. There are not enough facilities to accommodate this increase in population in the area. It would decrease the value of the homes already in the village and the appeal of the area.

We must all support the building of new homes nationally to meet increasing need but the number of homes proposed in these developments are far too many for a village of this size. it will place considerable strain on local resources, especially the local school and GP and dentist services as well as road use. It will also damage the atmosphere of the community, turning it from a large village into something more akin to a small town. I believe a much reduced project would be more acceptable while contributing to much needed home building.

I object to this development for Obthorpe Lane because the road is too narrow to take more traffic as it is a single lane road only 4 metres wide.
We have already had HGVs unable to pass unless they use the verges; the vehicles using the lane join the A15 and any incidents on the A15 send the traffic through Obthorpe Lane. Farm vehicles also use the lane.
There will be chaos caused by the lorries involved in the construction work of 86 houses.
I am also concerned about the drainage infrastructure as it is already inadequate in the village.

The A15 cannot take any further traffic. It is horrendously busy already with many completely ignoring the 40mph maximum speed limit that's in place. The potholes caused by existing traffic remain unrepaired. The existing infrastructure will not be upgraded to cope with additional people, affecting the water pressure. People's welfare will be affected more than it is already; we can never get a doctor's appointment and waiting 12+ months for hospital appointments.

Appalled by housing proposals. Thurlby is already a busy / noisy village in terms of traffic / vehicles moving through it from villagers / passing traffic including coaches / buses. Already absolute nightmare getting out of village on main road due to traffic & will be made more difficult with more housing.

I feel that the proposed development SKPR-56 on OBthorpe Lane will cause excessive overflow problems for the pumping station on Church Street. It can barely cope with the flow rate at present as it deals with all of Thurlby from Swallow Hill all the way down to Church Street, so any more capacity will cause overflow problems without upgrading the pumping station capacity.

The village facilities would be even more stretched re: school, shop etc.Traffic in and through the village is often very heavy, assess to the A15 very congested at times especially when it is used as a diversion because of accidents on the A15. Dole Wood is a haven for wild life this would cause disruption

Much of the village traffic already uses Obthorpe Lane to join the A15 South as queues at the end of High Street during peak periods can mean a 10 minute wait or longer. The number of extra cars from these proposed developments will have a significant negative impact.
Without a roundabout on the A15 at either Northorpe or Thurlby commuting will be significantly more difficult if these houses are built.

I object to this due to the increased pressure this would put on the village and surrounding resources. The drains already overflow and flood. Traffic through the village onto the main road is already really busy and there are already numerous accidents at both Kates bridge and the crossroads at the back of Manthorpe. More traffic would make this even worse.

The road won’t be wide enough to cope with the large extra volume of traffic.
Would a Bus route be included, don’t think so.
We also need the fields for crops, more housing means less crops to grow for our future generations.

The road is completely unsuitable as the entrance to the site will be at the bottom of a blind dip and the road is not wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass.the sewerage in the village is not up to taking extra capacity.flooding has happened locally on numerous occasions.thete is no capacity locally for doctors schools and dentists

Building this quantity of houses is going to create even more congestion along the A15 which is difficult enough to get in and out of Thurlby. There will be even more strain on local school places and Drs surgery’s that are already struggling to cope with demand. Houses aren’t current selling in the current market, how is this helping?

I think it is unwise to build on this land, Obthorpe Lane (road) is too small to support this increase in inhabitants. It would ruin the local flow of traffic and there are no safe pedestrian access points from "said" entrance, apart from this possibly even busier road. Additionally it's closeness to Dole Wood and farming links will most likely disrupt local wildlife.

Awful decision for a village that has been already very over developed.
It already has large amounts of traffic coming through the village. And access onto the the very busy a15 is awful already. If there was to be any building in the village it should be on the east side of the a15. And people live in a village because it’s a quiet place to live. Not for it to be built up into a town.
100% against both development plans.

The local community can not support this level of housing or infrastructure (i.e. the doctors and local school). The A15 can not cope with the current level of demand at peak times therefore adding more will only make this worse. Obthorpe Lane and surrounding roads will not withstand the extra capacity

Sites should only be chosen where infrastructure exists to cope with the additional housing Given this I object to housing being built at the two Thurlby sites, SKPR 277 and SKPR 56. Thurlby suffers from poor drainage. (Drainage infrastructure has not been upgraded in line with the increase in housing ) and is prone to surface flooding. The village flooded in January 2024. Climate change will only make this worse Existing traffic issues will also worsen. Everyone uses Obthorpe lane to drive to the A15 and the narrow road is not geared up for another 80+ houses

My objection is the number of properties being proposed in a village. More development will reduce the village feel and appeal which is what attracted us to Thurlby in the first place. The A15 is already busy enough and with a total of 136 new dwellings, including that proposed in SKPR-277, with at least one car each means even more traffic. The primary school is already full so more dwellings would restrict the available places. I’m also concerned with the impact on sewerage and flooding in the village as a result of this development.

The area near the A15 is subject to severe flooding, building would make it worse and cause further problems. Photos attached of property flooding and dyke.
It is already difficult to pull out onto the A15 from the village, building would only increase the traffic.
Traffic at the village school is already difficult as one way system.

The existing infrastructure is inadequate. Entry onto the A15 is already highly dangerous. Development in Thurlby is unnecessary as there is plenty of available housing at Elsea Park, Bourne. I object to this plan.
