The infrastructure in Market Deeping is already woefully inadequate for the current population, without the building of yet more houses placing even greater strain on an all ready stretched situation. Millfield road itself is totally unsuited for more traffic

Re SKPR-144:
We object to the proposed development because of (a) the likely increase in:
- risk of surface water flooding through the loss of the Millfield's flood plain role
- traffic in Millfield Road, Stamford Road and A15
- pressure on infrastructure (water, electricity supply, sewage drainage, etc)
- pressure on public services (doctors, schools, etc)
and (b) the loss of a green rural public space and its habitat much valued by local residents, which has been used for dog walking, walking and jogging, sports etc as well as for the Deeping Show (1921-2013) since at least 1882.

As a resident of Millfield Road no doubt I'll be accused of nimbyism, but to have the two fields opposite covered in houses and yet more cars would be a great loss to the town. The fields provide a buffer to the busy A15, the lane itself is a pleasant and relatively quiet road which will be utterly spoilt and lost for ever. I understand the need for new housing but there must be a more appropriate site that has less impact on the environment or infrastructure. Once something is gone it cannot be replaced.

The proposed housing development off Millfield Road in Market Deeping destroys an amenity for the whole area which is not provided elsewhere. There is significant walking and dog walking available. The development of this land to a housing estate would introduce significant noise and traffic flow into Millfield Road, with also a blind exit into Stamford Road. Houses built near the current bypass would be extensively affected by traffic noise and vehicle pollution, with significantly increased polluted rainwater runoff into roads and existing properties adjacent to Millfield Road which would be turned into another noisy bypass.

The area SKPR-144 provides significant local character to this area of Mkt Deeping which infill housing will destroy. It acts as a wildlife corridor and haven inside Mkt Deeping that is bounded by the bypass and river.

I object to the proposed development of Mill Field Market Deeping.
Your revised local plan mentions as one of its aims 'to protect and enhance'
This proposal is in absolute contradiction to this stated aim,is opposed by the local community, and should be rejected.

I would like to object to Millfield's Market Deeping as we do not have enough green spaces within the area. We also do not have the faculties like doctors at the Deeping practice to cope with any more patients. Schools are struggling with numbers. We also struggle within the area with sewage problems. The wildlife also within that area will be greatly affected by the building of houses.

Mill Field, is unsuitable for the following reasons:
- it is a green buffer space between the bypass and housing
- it has been used by, the community for many years
- mental health and well being require a green space to exercise, it has been proven that green spaces are conducive to lowering blood pressure and help stave off depression.
- the wildlife is abundant, bird life would be particularly affected if the housing was built.
- the lane is too small and it is hugely important that the dykes are not filled in due to the flood risk.

Regarding SKPR 144 development of land off Millfield road. This is the last large mature green space in Market Deeping before the A15 and it is heavily used by residents of all ages for multiple activities. It is surrounded by beautiful hedges and trees and provides a wonderful habitat for wildlife and absorbs excess rainfall also. Humans benefit in terms of physical health by walking and running and exercising pets plus, mental health is improved by its use. Development of the site would increase traffic on Millfield Road, which young children use for cycling without the worry of traffic.

The Old Showground Millfield Road Site SKPR-144 is totally unsuitable for development for housing. Why put houses next to continuous noise pollution from the bypass and seriously increased traffic to a road which has already got a difficult entrance and exit.

We have few green spaces that are accessible to everyone in Deeping, Mill field has a long history within Market Deeping there is a real community of dog walkers that meet regularly within Millfield.
There is lots of other areas that could be developed.

I am objecting to the proposed development of Mill Field (SKPR-144). This site is a valuable green space amenity used by may of the residents of Market Deeping for walking, leisure and recreation to support the physical and mental well-being of the local community. This past winter has demonstrated the value of the area as flood relief which must be preserved to protect the many hundreds of dwellings nearby.

I object to site SKPR144 being used for any other purpose than its current one, is leisure, health & wellbeing, activity, dog walking etc. There is a shortage of easy access green space in this area and it would be of great detriment to local residents should it be used for any other purpose.
It is obvious that the current infrastructure and services available to the inhabitants of Market Deeping are struggling to cope with the population and to bring further families into the area will only add to the workload of existing services, already inadequate, and cause further suffering.

Open space required for fresh air and well being in the countryside as recommended by health professionals. Site well used by runners, dog walkers and nature watchers. Access to the site via Millfield Road into Stamford Road is at present a lottery and will lead to traffic accidents if used for housing, remembering most houses now posses two or more vehicles. Same applies to access into Towngate West and on to Halfleet.

Housing in Market Deeping is expanding disproportionately to current services available and cannot be increased. The A15 is currently unable to cope with commuters and traffic is at standstill at peak times. This will only get worse with an increased commuting population. The A15 is noisy and noise mitigation will never be effective. The site is not suitable for development of high quality housing. People will not want to purchase properties on this site and developer will have to build cheap houses to sell them. This site will never be a desirable and safe place for families to live.

This is the only substantial piece of green land to the west of the town centre and remains special to local people.
Millfield Road is a long established country lane and building a substantial number of houses will destroy the status quo. The will of the local people not to build here should be respected. There is insufficient infrastructure in the town to support the proposed volume of new houses. The Doctor’s surgery has a lack of capacity, schools are at capacity and there is no longer a leisure centre. The additional number of vehicles would create further traffic congestion around the town centre and nearby A15 roundabout. All of the aforementioned are on the other side of town, as is Tesco.

Millfield remains one of the last few Green Spaces left in the local area for recreational purposes and is used by the majority of the local community. Building on Millfield will be devastating for the local community not only recreationally but infrastructurally. The local community are already struggling to get doctors appointments due to recent housing causing a population explosion and families are struggling to find appropriate schooling for their children.
I believe there will also be far more danger due to the congestion of traffic caused by building these houses. The long term implications do not seem to be evaluated properly in this awful planning policy

These fields are the only decent green space in the area most green spaces are too small for the ever expanding Deepings. They are used for leisure and Dog walking by a large amount of people. It is a lovely place to walk with your thoughts which in turn is great for Mental Health, a reason my Son walks them every day. It is a haven for wild life with a large variety seen which again is soothing for Mental wellbeing. Finally in an era where eco friendly is promoted Net Zero aimed for how can it be right to take away facilities on your doorstep for many so a car is required to achieve the same result.

Many of our beautiful green spaces are gone . Many people like myself walk our dogs on that site There will be very limited space in the area for dog walking which will I think increase dog fowling on pavements. We always pick up after our dogs but not everyone is like us !
One of the main reasons we moved here was for all the beautiful green spaces which are disappearing . It’s good for mental health to walk in those fields. There’s currently no leisure centre here so walking in one of the few ways people can exercise.
Deeping is already becoming very overcrowded. It’s difficult to get appointments at the doctors surgery how on earth are they going to cope with an extra 250 houses not to mention schools !

This field is one of the only a few green field areas left that people can actually walk. This field is used by so many dog walkers and people just walking which is so good for mental health which is so important in todays life now. This happens to be the most busiest area in deeping for people walking and walking there dogs This is why I must put forth my objection.

This site is unsuitable and other sites available would be better suited. There is a single-track road, with no lighting or footpath, which would be unacceptable. Trees will need to be removed if the road is changed further spoiling one of the last green spaces left in Deeping. No consideration of the increase in traffic. Site not on a bus route and quite a distance from the nearest bus stop. Understand need for more housing. However, there needs to be appropriate infrastructure in place. Doctors failing to cope, school requires improvement, there are insufficient shops and roads need resurfacing.

Millfield is a beautiful green space for all to enjoy. Means a great deal to residents as a pace to take a walk, see wildlife, and play. More of our quiet fields are being taken up by housing. Infrastructure is collapsing and there are inadequate facilities to accommodate such residential growth. Schools are over subscribed, and most inadequate and GPs at breaking point. These are areas to focus on. We need our green spaces for all to enjoy, not more housing and pollution. Bee populations are also diminishing and taking away more wildflower spaces is detrimental to their survival.

Millfield is used as a place of leisure for family's and dog walkers Market Deeping does not have the infrastructure to support even more housing The school has really gone down hill. The roads are congested. You can't get a GP appointment. The Leisure centre is closed. Millfield is used by hundreds of people and is one of the only remaining leisure greens left in Deeping. You really need to think about how you are raping this lovely village.
