The proposal would massively impinge on the appeal of Market Deeping and the already limited leisure opportunities. This field is in almost constant use by walkers and dog walkers. In addition it provides pleasant scenery which is rapidly disappearing from the area. It would be next to a small lane also much used by walkers and the increased traffic would cause massive problems.
Where is going to be left for the people of Deeping to enjoy their environment and leisure? There’s not even a functioning leisure centre at the moment.
This is a thoroughly bad idea, in a terrible location, that would severely diminish Deeping as a place where people want to live.

This should be left as a green space for Wildlife and for the local community to enjoy. Since I have lived in Market Deeping I have seen, Rabbits, Foxes and multiple Deer on the field aswell as Red Kites. The field is used by the local community, seen families playing games, joggers and walkers as well as alot of dog walkers. The road way is used by all of the above as well as this is a safe space with limited traffic.
This area should be protected and enjoyed for years to come for future generations

My objection to building on this site are follows.
1. My wife and I walk our dog off lead at least once a day on this field because there is no other open spaces where we can do the same thing.
2. The traffic trying to get out of Mill Field Road onto Stamford Road will be dangerous especially with cars coming off the roundabout around the blind bend.
3. There is not enough doctors in the village at this present time to cope with the population, to add another 600/800 people will only make things worse.

This field is a much loved and precious green space in the local area. It is used regularly by dog walkers and runners and It acts as a community space for local people to meet
and enjoy the countryside. People of all ages use this space regularly. As an elderly person myself, I walk there every day with my dog and regard it as a beautiful green space where I can meet people in a safe environment.
I urge you to save this important green space on behalf of the people of Deeping and the surrounding areas.

I walk my dog in the fields there every day. It is a beautiful, calm green space where I feel safe to walk alone. Many local people use the space and there is a scarcity of green spaces in the local area anyway. I urge you to preserve this important landscape to make sure it is not lost forever to building development. There is nothing similar like Mill Field locally. There is also an abundance of wildlife in their natural habitat existing there in a natural environment. Some people I know have been urged by their GP to spend more time in open spaces - I hope this one will be preserved for the local community

I understand that there is a proposal to start building work on this green field site. I was to express my strongest objection to this idea. I run regularly around Mill Field, enjoying the beautiful natural environment, in which I feel safe as a women on my own. I meet many local people there walking their dogs and there is a great sense of community amongst the people who visit the Field. Many of us know one another because we meet there. People make special arrangements to meet up to walk and talk together and to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and it is a much loved community space. We have few such spaces in the local area; please don't take this one away from the community - it is special.

I have lived in Deeping for almost 40 years and during the last 30 years living in [redacted] have enjoyed the wonderful green space of the fields.
My objections are based on:
- Community facilities in Deeping are overstretched

There is a lack of community support for this development. Concerns on impact of road safety, increased traffic congestion, strain on A15, access from Stamford Road, and the suitability of existing roads to support proposed development. There is already a strain on resources such as GP Surgery. Site is green space used for recreation by community historically. Site in Zone 1 flood risk and becomes waterlogged, removing the green space poses increased flood risk to surrounding area. Employment opportunities already strained, more housing would increase commuting. There are other spaces available for building that would be more appropriate.

Flooding:Building to the West will significantly impact flood risk for River Witham impacting access/houses.
Safety:A1 increasingly closed for crashes already impacts traffic volumes in the village;infrastructure is not suitable for increased traffic volumes. Public transport to the village is limited so this will impact increase traffic volume. Mill lane is not wide enough to create a roadway with 2way traffic flow plus pavement making pedestrian and vehicular access dangerous; particularly Mill Road; already used significantly by HGVs to Whites Recycling and GWebbs Quarry.
Infrastructure: Schools/Gps already at capacity.
Historic buildings: Mill Field has historic remains.
Nature:There is possible Badger set.

Historically residents have objected to this site. Community proposed site to become a Village Green at enquiry, appeal decision was then rejected. Site proposed against wishes and recommendations of the Neighbourhood Planning Group. Central Government say local opinion should be taken into account when planning and green spaces are essential for people to enjoy for physical and mental health. Good planning states land on the edge of village/town should be kept as land and not built on. Millfield is enjoyed and valued by community and want to keep it as it is. Remove site from proposed housing list.

There have been many consultations on proposals to build on this parcel of land over a long period of time. At each consultation the vast majority of Deeping Residents have made their opposition to that proposal very clear. Residents of the Deepings even tried to have the land designated a "Village Green". Furthermore the Governments National Planning Policy states "Local Planning Authorities should create a shared vision with communities of the residential environment and facilities they wish to see."Clearly SKDC are not doing that at all. In fact they are doing just the opposite!!! The Deepings Neighbourhood Plan identifies Mill Field and Millfield Road as local green area assets! Please take note of local opinion and remove Mill Field from your planning ambitions

I strongly disagree with any development on this site. Too many houses have already been built in this town . We desperately need to keep open spaces so we don’t live in a concrete jungle and to give wildlife a chance to survive.
Councils should be concentrating on Brown Fill Sights.
There will be all the obvious problems :- over loaded Doctor surgery , Traffic etc.
Once a beautiful field is destroyed it’s gone forever.

I grew up in Deeping From 1958 and have regularly enjoyed the open space and Millfield Road . During lockdown it was a daily walk. Turning the Corner from Towngate West and feel l am out in the Countryside. We have no formal leisure and exercise facilities in the Deepings. To deprive the community of this beautiful, uplifting Space is cruel and uncaring towards the residents of the Deepings.

I object to the expansion of Market Deeping to the west of the town. The proposed development will remove the site which currently forms a buffer between the Deepings by-pass and Millfield Road and permit building right up to the main road. The current green lane provides a very pleasant entry into the town and is an attractive open space for walking around.
A further planned 200 buildings cannot be met with the current infrastructure either.
Completion of the Linchfield Road area will surely provide sufficient housing within the Deepings.

I do not object in principle to developments, however, please consider the following. 1. Local amenities are already stretched, for example it’s difficult to get a doctors appointment and with 200 new properties, how will this impact the current situation? Are you factoring in expansion of local schools and the doctors to facilitate this? 2. Impact on roads will be significant. They are already under disrepair and getting worse and the additional traffic will impact this further. In addition to this, it’s becoming increasingly more challenging driving to Peterborough in the morning from Market Deeping. There are longer and longer traffic jams. This will get worse, as the villages and towns north of Market Deeping expand.
Would it not be better to look to expand locations like Deeping Saint Nicholas, where there is more opportunity for growth, and could be made into a similar sized community to Market Deeping, if planned effectively

The reason of my contacting you is to complain at the proposed development at Millfield, Market Deeping. I have been a resident of the Deepings since 1990. The fields in Mill Field are the last piece of open green space in the Deepings. Not surrounded by residential development they are a safe place to play with no real traffic volumes and separated from Mill Field itself and the by-pass by trees and hedging. Ideal for walking and playing with the dogs for the above reasons and available for all of the Deepings. The last open green space! We need to keep it that way. Objection to site SKPR-144. This land has already had planning rejected within the last 5 years due to ongoing objections from local residents. This is not unused land. It is in constant use by current local residents, whether that's for dog walking, taking kids to play on a local field, or other use. Millfield is beautiful green space used by all for exercise, walk dogs, and be surrounded by nature. No other suitable space locally for these purposes and development would deprive a healthy lifestyle. Proposed development would cause traffic and air pollution. Concerned and alarmed that a proposal has been made to build 200+ houses in the Mill Field. Historically, this field has served the residents of the Deepings with a recreational space. Children play on it, learn to ride their bikes on it and run around on it and where else can they go?! The field is edged with mature trees and ancient hedgerows and sustains a great deal of wildlife which would be lost for ever. Millfield Road, which runs alongside the field has been described as "the Green Walk"; many people walk their dogs, jog, run or cycle along it every day. This would be a serious loss to our community and at a time when the government are advocating regular walks in open spaces for the good of our mental and physical health! We want to see this removed from the plan and designated a local green space.

Roundabout already congested at peak times, the proposed 200 houses would add to traffic and longer commutes. Pressure on roundabout would increase CO2 emissions, decline air quality impacting residents and health hazard to local wildlife. Noise pollution during construction would cause disturbance to local residents.
Already unnecessary strain on public services such as school and medical facilities. Historically site hosted local events, such as annual sports, gala events, football matches, and agricultural shows. This is a valuable and increasingly rare green space that provides the local community of all ages with somewhere to take exercise, walk dogs and observe and enjoy the varied species of wildlife to be found there. The enormous benefits to physical and mental wellbeing that this amenity provides would be lost, as would the wildlife/plantlife habitat leading to environmental detriment. We are losing these open, green spaces at an alarming rate in the Deepings so this is one of the very few remaining. The impact of the increased traffic in terms of pollution, noise and congestion as well as the impact on an already overburdened schools and healthcare service would be overwhelming.
