I have read many reports from councillor Paul Martin and agree wholeheartedly with his comments and publications.
Both the government and the opposition cite that future developments should be on existing brown field sites and not on green field sites, in addition to this there is a total lack of services to support such growth. Only last month my NHS dentist stopped providing NHS treatment and on checking the government website for available alternatives, there are none !!

Number one concern is the sheer volume of traffic on roads and infrastructure that was NEVER designed to accommodate this number of houses on land that was never meant to be built on in the first place
Gonerby Hill Foot alone struggles with traffic at the best of times when an accident occurs on the A1 so how will this improve/better our community?

I strongly object to this proposal. My concerns are:
- the significant increase in traffic on roads that are poorly maintained and are challenging for public transport to navigate due to current congestion
- the significant loss of green space, impacting on local countryside, overall mental wellbeing of the community and putting wildlife at risk
- increased flood risk, especially for any new dwellings, due to the excess water already experienced by this location, which with climate change is only increasing
- lack of infrastructure in place to support new dwellings (schools,medical,transport,jobs)
- risk of subsidence on busy railway line

A badly conceived plan, it is on green belt land, would destroy the abundant wildlife and be visible from many of heritage assets you have listed, namely Belton House and The Bellmount Tower, in recent years it is prone to flood (Belton Lane). Proposed access is totally unsuitable for any additional traffic and one exit would be on to a busy main route in to Grantham Town Centre and very close to a Primary School.

This project would lead to destruction of natural habitat for wildlife and plants, and cause many mature trees to be removed. Surrounding views would disappear along with an area popular with walkers improving their physical and mental health. There would be unacceptable strain on health services and schools which are already close capacity. Making Vivian Close the main access to the site would be a danger to both traffic and pedestrians, increase noise / traffic and remove the only safe place for children to play at the end of the close.

This is a greenfield site. Development will have huge impact on loss of local green space, agricultural land and wildlife. Access roads are narrow residential roads unsuitable for large numbers of cars, buses, etc. This will put severe pressure on local schools (primary and secondary), GP surgeries, dentists. There will be increase in traffic congestion into and out of Grantham leading to residential roads being used as ratruns. Great Gonerby village is in danger of merging with Grantham town itself. There will be major impact on views of Grantham from Belton House parkland and Bellmount Tower.

This area already floods and overflows on to the road; this will be even worse if built on.
The junctions at either end of the road cannot cope with the amount of traffic now and there are numerous accidents.
The Belton Lane/Newark Hill junction would be difficult to improve without lost of the playing fields or cemetery.
Belton Lane is congested during peak times and when there are functions at the Memorial Hall, the extra traffic will exasperate this.

I strongly object to the inclusion of this site due to: increased traffic, unsuitable roads for access (both for proposed housing and particularly for construction traffic), insufficient facilities (especially schools), detrimental effect on wildlife, loss of only local green space, negative impact on local heritage, building on high slopes (which would make the area feel enclosed), linking up GHF to Great Gonerby, and flood risk for new and existing residents. I have lived in the same house my entire life and I have already noticed our road (REDACTED) is too busy. The bus cannot always get through which is some persons way of getting to work. The road quality is dangerous with potholes everywhere. Having more housing would exacerbate this. As well as put more pressure on the local facilities e.g the primary schools. The Greenland is already a home to wildlife and walkers. Belton lane still has warning signs of flooding, adding more concrete and tarmac would make it worse and possibly threaten the crucial railway just below.

I totally object to this development. Concerned about the increase in traffic along Belton Lane through Great Gonerby as a through access to the A1. Belton Lane, Great Gonerby is residential and increase in traffic will have an impact on the safety of residents as well as creating a bottle neck of traffic at the junction where Belton Lane meets B1174, despite plans to upgrade the junction. Belton Lane is a rat run now for drivers and quite often cars kill animals (badgers, foxes, muntjac etc) crossing the road to access other habitats. Will the natural hedgerows stay?

I wish to object to this land being included. The labelling is very misleading as it is really Gonerby Hill Foot accessed from Stephenson Avenue. Parts are included in the Parish of Great Gonerby. This land is not suitable for building and certainly the access onto Belton Lane would mean that this would be over capacity when other developments are included such as the new Manthorpe development. This is an important area for Bats and other species that are protected as I have seen them when I lived nearby please remove from the plan.

I object to the housing plan due to the significant increase of traffic both on minor roads (Cliffe Road/Stephenson Avenue) and also the main B1174, which is already a busy road, especially if the A1 is closed. There is also the significant loss of green space and willdlife habitat. Proposed housing in this area was already rejected several years ago and I cannot see that anything has changed to make this a suitable site now. There are already many unfinished large housing developments in the area and the current infrastructure (roads/hospital/GPs/schools) is already struggling without another large development.
